- Outdoor-rated equipment and stainless fixings near the coast, where salt is an issue
- Secure remote viewing on your phone so you can keep eyes on things while you’re away
- Walk-through of the system, with all passwords and details handed over so you know how to use it

Do I need a subscription for the cameras?
No. Your system records to a unit in your own home. You buy the gear once and it’s yours — no monthly fee and nothing in someone else’s cloud.
What’s an NVR?
It stands for Network Video Recorder — basically the box your cameras plug into that records and stores all your footage, right there in your home. It’s the heart of the system, and it’s yours: no monthly fee, no cloud.
How long does it keep the footage?
Your recordings are stored on a hard drive inside the recorder, so how far back it goes depends on the drive size, how many cameras you have and the quality they record at. Want to keep footage for longer? I can fit a bigger hard drive — just let me know and I'll size it to suit.
Do I need a battery backup (UPS)?
It's optional, but well worth it. A UPS keeps your cameras and recorder running through a blackout or power flicker — without one, the moment the power drops the system stops recording, which is often exactly when you'd want it watching. It also protects the gear from surges. I can add one to any install.
Can I watch the cameras when I’m away?
Yes. The cameras connect to an app on your phone so you can check in from anywhere. It’s a secure connection — I set the whole thing up and show you how it works, so there are no tech headaches on your end.
Can you add cameras to a system I already have?
Often, yes — I'll assess what you've got and give you options rather than pushing a full replacement.
