Starlink Installation
If you live out of town and you're sick of everything constantly buffering, Starlink is often the answer. I mount the dish with a clear northern sky view, run the cable in neat, and get it working — for rural properties and shadowed blocks across Tasmania's North-West.
What's involved
How I do starlink installation.
- Dish mounted on roof or mast with a clear view, clear of tree canopy
- Cable run tidily through the roof space, not draped down a wall
- Router placed where you actually need the Wi-Fi, not just at the entry point
- Weather-sealed penetrations that hold up to coastal wind and rain
- Wi-Fi checked room to room, with access points available if more coverage is needed
Where I work
Starlink Installation across the North-West.
Based in Burnie and on the road across the coast. These towns have their own local page:
Before you call
Starlink Installation questions.
Will Starlink work at my place?
It needs a clear view of the northern sky. Treed gullies and hillside blocks can obstruct it, so mounting height and position matter — that's the part worth getting a local to do properly.
Can you hide the cable and mount it tidily?
That’s the job. I route the cable through the roof space and seal the penetration so it looks like it belongs there and doesn’t leak.
