A quote issued during the promotion period stays valid for 15 days from its date, so a quote issued in the last days of November still stands into December.

What’s on offer

Two packages, $1,790 each, fully installed. I’m not registered for GST, so that’s the whole price — there’s nothing to add on top.

Both packages include mounting and aiming, cabling, setup, a walk-through and full handover of your credentials — the full scope is in section 3 of my Package Terms, and the cable, plates, fixings and any switch needed to finish the job are covered by section 4. You own the equipment outright. There are no subscriptions and no monitoring fees.

What the price assumes

$1,790 is the price for a standard installation. Section 1 of the Package Terms sets out exactly what that means — in short, a single-storey home with accessible roof space, and cable running internally from where the gear is mounted.

Most homes on the coast are straightforward. If yours needs more than a standard install — conduit, underground or trenched runs, double-storey work, or drilling through full brick, render or concrete — that doesn’t mean I can’t do it. It means I price the difference before I start, and you approve it first. Section 2 of the Package Terms lists what sits outside a fixed price.

Extras and variations

• Additional or different cameras are quoted separately. The package price covers the cameras listed above.
• Mixing the two packages — say three cameras plus the doorbell — isn’t a Spring Special price. I’m glad to quote it, just not at $1,790.
• Equipment models may be substituted for equivalent or better if something’s out of stock. I’ll tell you before I order anything.

Conditions

• Residential properties only. Commercial, strata and multi-tenant sites are quoted separately.
• One promotion price per property.
• Not applied retrospectively to work already quoted, booked or completed.
• Not exchangeable for cash, and not transferable to another property.
• Subject to equipment availability.
• Remote viewing on your phone needs a working internet connection at the property. Some connections — mobile broadband in particular — may not support it. Your system records locally to the recorder either way.
• The indoor monitor is normally wall-mounted and powered over its network cable, so it doesn’t need a power point. If you’d rather it wasn’t fixed to the wall, it runs on Wi-Fi with its own plug-pack instead, and that position will need an existing power point within 2 metres. Existing doorbell wiring isn’t reused.
• Installation dates depend on my availability. Where I can’t reach the job before the promotion ends, the promotion price still stands, provided it was quoted and booked in time.
